Iconic Brandywine Valley Images

My image of the week is the Kuerner Farm, a location providing inspiration for many of Andrew Wyeth's paintings.  This image was processed with software which takes out details, providing a more painterly look.

Some additonal iconic images from the Brandywine Valley are shown below.  Check them out!

The Andrew Wyeth Studio, located in Chadds Ford, is built on a hill overlooking the Brandywine River Valley.

The Brandywine River Museum houses many of Wyeth's original paintings.

John Chadd House

John Chad was the ferryman/farmer after which the ford in the river and the village of Chadds Ford were named.  The ground floor contains a working stone oven, which is still used during the summer months to bake bread.
